Safety and Reliability—Each boarder is checked in using a security protocol matching pets to owners, and all pets are required to maintain specific vaccines to protect your animal and inhibit the spread of disease:
- All pets are required to have a record of vaccinations and a fecal test during the past 12 months.
- For dogs, this includes rabies, distemper/parvovirus, and bordetella/kennel cough within the past 6 months.
- For cats, this includes rabies, distemper, and bordetella within the past 6 months.
Access to Veterinary Care—Your pet stays in the company of the area’s finest veterinarians in our state-of-the-art veterinary specialty center, open every day of the week.
Comfort—We offer large outdoor exercise areas, ventilated and climate controlled facilities, and separate quarters for dogs and cats.
Convenience—Schedule your routine medical services and grooming during your pet’s stay, and enjoy our easy drop-off/pick-up routine for day care services.
Exotics—We can also board your small mammals and birds! For this service, we do ask you bring your pets preferred food.

Dog Suites
Comfort and play are important to every dog and Elmhurst Animal Care Center has designed our dog suites to enhance the canine experience. Amenities in our dog suites include:

- State-of-the-art ventilation system (air changes 12 times per hour)
- Climate control for comfort in all seasons
- Epoxy flooring for a sanitary, non-slip environment
- Resting benches for lounging in comfort
- Quality bedding
- Outdoor exercise area
- Free bath for stays over 2 nights
Please note—At the time of boarding drop off, please provide written documentation that your dog is current on his or her rabies, distemper/parvo/corona, and bordetella vaccinations and fecal test. If not current, any vaccines would need to be administered at least 2 weeks before boarding.
Kitty Condos
Our feline friends can be very particular, and Elmhurst Animal Care Center has designed our kitty condos for the most discriminating pet. Amenities in our kitty condos include:
- Luxury condos with private bathrooms
- Room service
- Climate control for comfort in all seasons
- Play space for leisure activities
- Regular one-on-one interaction with our caring staff
Please note—At the time of drop off for boarding, please provide written documentation that your cat is current on his or her rabies, feline distemper, and bordetella vaccinations and fecal test.
