Vaccinations: Essential Protection Against Illness and Disease
Vaccinations are an important part of your pet’s overall health and wellness. From puppy- or kitten-hood until the senior years, vaccinations will always be crucial in protecting your pet against diseases, illnesses, and even death.
Vaccinations for *Puppies and Dogs
During your pup’s wellness visit, we may administer the following vaccinations:
- Canine distemper
- Lyme disease
Vaccinations for *Kittens and Cats
During your kitty’s wellness visit, we may administer the following vaccinations:
- Feline distemper
*Please note that puppies and kittens require more frequent vaccinations and deworming’s since their immune systems are not fully developed.
While we recommend all dogs and cats be vaccinated, these recommendations are based on guidelines specified by:
- The American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA)
- The American Association of Feline Practitioners (AAFP)
- Our years of experience
- The specific needs of each pet
Factors we consider before vaccinating include age, weight, environment, activity level, and overall health condition.
